Frequently Asked Questions

  • Our preservation studio is nestled in Clarksburg, Maryland.

  • We suggest that you contact us as soon as you have your wedding date. We accept a limited number of bouquets each month and we are often unable to accept last-minute bookings during the busy wedding season.

  • Ideally, you would ship your floral arrangement to us within the first two days after the event. For successful preservation, it is crucial to receive your florals the freshest possible. If you live in the MD-VA-DC area, we prefer that you or someone on your behalf drop off your florals at our address.

  • Absolutely! Although our studio is located in Maryland, a large number of our clients are out of state. Contact us for more details on how to ship your flowers.

  • Shipping your florals is quite easy! After you book your preservation spot with us, we will send you a confirmation email with detailed shipping instructions and answer any questions you might have. Keep in mind that your flowers would need to be shipped overnight to avoid having them out of water for too long.

  • We currently offer 4 different sizes: 9x11’’, 13x13’’, 12x15’’ and 17x21”. They come in two colors – Light Maple and Dark Walnut wood. All of our frames are fully handcrafted.

  • With our preserving techniques, we never use chemicals or color enhancers, enabling the flowers to show their true colors. We love seeing the transformation that pressed flowers are going through during the preservation process, including the natural color changes!

  • For the current commission prices, please contact us. Prices vary between the four standard sizes we currently offer and are sometimes created based on our client’s special requests. We also offer different discounts on commissioned pieces throughout the year.

  • Our average completion time is 3 months from the time we receive your flowers. The estimated completion date might be extended in case of more complex flowers that need additional time to be dried, if you chose multiple framed pieces or if the design requires any kind of modifications. Floral preservation is a lengthy process and our ultimate goal is to create a high-quality piece that you will cherish forever. We thank you for your patience!

For more details, please refer to the custom commissions process and timelines page.

  • To secure your preservation spot, we require a non-refundable security deposit of $250. The deposit is later used towards the final purchase price. The remaining balance is due at the time when final design is approved, and right before the artwork is sealed. This is approximately 10 weeks after we receive your florals.

  • Although our frames are designed to last forever, due to the organic nature of flowers, some amount of fading and changes in color are expected over time. To prolong their life, we strongly advise keeping your pressed florals away from direct sunlight, UV light, and humidity.

  • Yes, we do! The best way is to have your florist recreate your bridal bouquet and you can drop it off/send it to Flowerly Framed, or you can send us a photo of your wedding flowers and we will source those same types/colors of florals. In the second case, the average turnaround time might need to be extended, depending on our current inventory of pressed flowers and/or the availability of specific fresh flowers at the local flower suppliers. Please note that the cost of blooms is an addition to your order.

  • Unfortunately, once the florals are dried, they can not be pressed – they become very brittle over time and would only crumble when placed inside the press. We can only press and frame fresh florals with our methods.

  • We do offer a small number of pre-made floral frames, filled with pressed flowers previously selected, pressed, and framed by the artist. Contact us for the current availability of the in-stock pieces. These are great gifts for anniversaries, birthdays, Mother’s Day, or any other occasion!

  • While trying not to discourage you, our best advice is that you do some practice before pressing your wedding bouquet. Every flower requires a different approach when it comes to preservation, thus, we strongly suggest pressing the same type of florals that will be included in your bridal bouquet. Keep in mind that floral preservation is lengthy (flowers are to remain inside the press at least for 6 weeks), so allow yourself enough time for practicing. Also, besides a price tag that comes with fresh blooms, make sure to calculate the additional cost for supplies needed (multiple presses, glue, frame (s), etc.) before deciding whether to preserve your special florals yourself or to contact a preservation specialist.

  • We do not offer classes at the moment, but that might change in the future! Follow us on Instagram to stay up-to-date on all of our latest news and offers.
